Almindsø Lake – Certified Family Trail - 4 km
The hiking trail around Almindsø is 4 kilometres long and is one of the few trails in Denmark that is certified as a Family Trail by the Danish Hiking Association. Here you are guaranteed a beautiful walk in a varied forest area with views of the lake most of the way round.

The Short Trip Kaloe Castle Ruin
At the foot of Mols Bjerge National Park, Kalø Slotsruin is located on a bank in the cove, Kalø Vig. If you follow the old stone-paved path out onto the peninsula, it’s like travelling back 700 years. Shut your eyes and imagine how the castle once defended itself against rebels and foreign powers, or take the newly-established steps up the tower, where you can experience the landscape from up high.

Årslev Lake

Nature National park Fussingø
The park and forest Nature National park Fussingø near Randers is open to the public provides good opportunities for walking tours. Naturepark Randers Fjord
Randers Fjord Nature Park is one of Denmark's largest nature parks. Here, the fresh water from the Gudenå River meets the salt water of the Kattegat. The 293 square kilometre area has been designated a nature park and contains a wide range of different habitats.

The viewpoint Lysnet
Lysnet is Denmark’s ninth highest natural point with an elevation of all of 131 metres above sea level. On the very top, there is a vantage point from which you can take in the view of the horizon while surrounded by scenic valleys.

Gjern Bakker
Gjern Bakker in Central Jutland is a fascinating relic from the last ice age, where the forces of nature have shaped the hilly terrain. The hills were formed as a marginal moraine in front of a mighty glacier and later cut through by huge amounts of meltwater, creating a deep and characteristic tunnel valley from Gjern town to Gudenåen.

The Velling Skovene forests consists of Velling Skov forest and Snabegård Skov forest. Velling Skov forest contains Denmark’s largest stand of 250 to 300-year-old beech trees, which is left untouched as a natural forest.

Marselisborg Forests in Aarhus

Brabrand Lake
