Rosenholm Slot
The castle has been in the possession of the noble family Rosenkrantz since it was established in 1599. The castle is known for, among other things, Danish Radio's Christmas tv-calendar "Christmas on the Castle". Furthermore, the family chronicle tells how two young men of the Rosenkrantz and Gyldenstjerne family, during a visit to Englan, met Shakespeare in an inn. After many drinks were emptied, Shakespeare got the idea to move Hamlet to Denmark and include the two family names on the cast list.
