The Gudenå river flows through a very wide river valley with an interesting landscape. Owing to the quantity of water, the river is interesting for fishing, and the river trout, sea trout, salmon, eel, pike, pikeperch and roach can be caught.

Aarhus is blessed with a wealth of places of great natural beauty where you spend hours on end in the happy company of your fishing rod. Along the Bay of Aarhus there are excellent spots for angling where you can catch sea trout, cod, flatfish and, during the season, garfish.

Tollundgaard Put and Take
Tollundgaard Put-and-Take is one of Denmark’s oldest angling lakes. The angling lake was opened in 1982 in the existing Lake Tollund sø. The lake has since been expanded to around 60,000 m². The lake’s long history as an angling lake means that the vegetation has had time to grow up around it and today it is fringed by woodland, which provides shelter.

Tange Sø
Lake Tange Sø contains the species perch, pike, walleye, whitefish, eel, trout, bream and roach. There is a chance of catching burbot and tench.

Aarhus River
Aarhus River originates in Astrup Mose southwest of Aarhus and runs through Aarhus Ådal, including Årslev Engsø, Brabrandsøen and the city center, and ends in Aarhus Harbor and Aarhus Bay.

Angling in Hald Lake
Hald Lake is located in a unique natural area approximately 5 km south of Viborg. The lake is located in an area that has been protected since 1947.
