Gudenåen er ca. 160 km og det nærmeste, vi i Danmark kommer en "rigtig" flod. Åen udspringer i Tinnet Krat nordvest for Tørring og snor sig gennem landskabet op til sit udløb i Randers Fjord ved Randers Bro.
