The paddle steamer Hjejlen

Museum Silkeborg - A Journey Through Time
Museum Silkeborg's main department, Hovedgården, is located in Silkeborg's oldest building, Silkeborg Hovedgård, from 1767. Museum Jorn
Museum Jorn is beautifully located in Silkeborg directly down to the Gudenåen river. The museum was founded by Asger Jorn (1914-1973), one of the CoBrA artists and one of the most important Danish artists of the 20th century.

Høj Stene Burial Monument
Experience Høj Stene, one of the oldest burial monuments in Northern Europe dating back to the Iron Age. This ancient monument is found near the banks of Gudenåen river and its historic barge puller towpath, so you can easily combine your visit there with a scenic hiking or canoeing trip.

The Paper Museum in Museum Silkeborg
The Paper Museum in Silkeborg is a living museum and a production centre for handmade paper. The museum is located in the old production facilities for handmade paper in the old Silkeborg Paper Factory, where, among other things, the paper for the Danish banknotes was produced.
