When the heather blooms
Enjoy the blooming heather carpet in beautiful late summer colours when nature really bursts out in autumn. And in the Aarhus Region in particular, you'll find many places where you can see the beautiful flowering heather in the autumn colours of an impressive sea dressed in purple.

In addition to heather, the Danish heaths are also home to bog bilberries, wild blueberries, lingonberries and blackberries. Here you are welcome to eat and pick for your own use.
Where and when is the heather most beautiful?
The heather blooms from July through September. Below you can see where you can find the fragrant purple carpets.
