Viborg Museum
Viborg Museum is developing a new attraction in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter, and when Museum Wibergis opens, they invite you inside for a sensory experience about king, church and law. The museum is expected to open in the winter season of 2026–2027.
Museum Wibergis
Museum Wibergis takes you back to the time when Viborg was the centre of power in Jutland. Through atmospheric sound and light effects, animations and interactive elements, Denmark’s dramatic history of power is brought to life in a sensory storytelling experience that engages both mind and senses.
Museum Wibergis becomes a central part of the Cathedral Quarter – the historic heart of the city. The area is currently being developed into a unified visitor destination with museums, urban storytelling and experiences in the atmospheric streets surrounding Viborg Cathedral.

Viborg Museum also has three other attractions: Hvolris Iron Age, the scenic area at De fem Halder and the schoolhouse E’ Bindstouw.
