The hidden trolls - Art in nature
Around the Aarhus region, you may be lucky enough to find hidden troll sculptures that each tell a story of their own. Several giant trolls have gone into hiding in the area and it is up to you if you can find them with whatever means and leads you have.

The trolls are created by the Danish artist, Thomas Dambo, and his team, who are world-famous for their big-scale art projects and sculptures made from sustainable recycled materials. Very often, local volunteers lend a hand by collecting recycled wood, donating money, housing a sculptor and so much more.
The many sculptures are all part of a project with the aim of bringing art into the world for people to go exploring and experience a treasure hunt out of the ordinary. At www.trollmap.com you can find hints on the location of the giant trolls, but the coordinates are not exact, as this would ruin the treasure hunt.
Today, Thomas Dambo’s wooden sculptures are found in more than ten countries across the world, and they have attracted a lot of attention at the various locations as well as online, where millions of followers have been watching. Several large media have covered the project, among these National Geographic, Lonely Planet, BBC and Chicago Tribune.
And now off on a troll hunt
In the Aarhus Region, you can find the trolls in Silkeborg, Viborg, Favrskov, Djursland and Aarhus.
