Peel-and-eat prawns are a true taste of summer, and in Aarhus you can enjoy them in a variety of settings. Take a seat by the quayside, look out across the city rooftops or join a boat trip through Aarhus Harbour.
Several of the experiences combine peel-and-eat prawns with bread, aioli and chilled rosé. Some are available throughout an extended summer period, while others take place on selected dates.
Peel-and-eat prawns at Restaurant Anker
Restaurant Anker is located by the Wooden Ship Harbour, overlooking yachts, fishing boats and Aarhus Ø. Here, you can enjoy peel-and-eat prawns in maritime surroundings close to the water.
The restaurant’s summer concept includes peel-and-eat prawns, homemade bread and homemade aioli, served with chilled rosé. The offer is available from Monday to Thursday during summer 2026.
Peel-and-eat prawns at Salling ROOFTOP
At Salling ROOFTOP, you can combine peel-and-eat prawns with views across central Aarhus. On selected summer evenings, the rooftop terrace hosts an event featuring prawns and rosé.
The peel-and-eat prawns are served with freshly baked bread, homemade aioli, lemon and whipped butter. The event takes place on 15 July and 18 August 2026, and advance tickets are required.
Peel-and-eat prawns with Aros Cruises
With Aros Cruises, peel-and-eat prawns become part of a boat trip through Aarhus Harbour. M/S Helene departs from Herman Sallings Plads and sails past sights including Aarhus Ø, the houseboats, the marina and the Wooden Ship Harbour.
During the trip, you can enjoy peel-and-eat prawns, freshly baked bread, homemade aioli and rosé. The cruise lasts around two hours and is available on several dates.
Peel-and-eat prawns in the Latin Quarter
At Café Drudenfuss, you can take a seat on the corner of Graven and Studsgade. The café serves peel-and-eat prawns with sourdough bread, garlic mayonnaise and grilled lemon.
Drudenfuss is located in the heart of the lively Latin Quarter and offers both indoor seating and outdoor dining. Pair the prawns with wine, cocktails or other drinks from the bar.
Prawn feast at Roberta’s Society
At Roberta’s Society in Møllegade, you can join a communal prawn feast during Aarhus Festival. The menu includes unlimited prawns with homemade focaccia, lemon, aioli and a parsley and garlic sauce.
Unlimited rosé is also served during dinner, followed by a DJ and open bar. Tickets are required.
