Aros Adventure - Draget

Join Aros Adventure on a guided tour to Draget in Djursland. Experience the stunning views and hear about 1000 years of dramatic history that has unfolded on the narrow isthmus between Mols and Helgenæs.

Draget - The overlooked attraction

Aros Adventure takes you through the Vikings' warning systems, strategies and weapons with a wide range of stories. Hear the (perhaps true) story of how one of Sweyn Forkbeard's men gave Harald Bluetooth a very unhealing wound.

Historical excitement

Look forward to stories about how the Vikings dragged their ships across Draget, and the nearby town of Kongsgård was used as part of the advanced defence of Aarhus. Hear wild stories about the outlaws who settled on Hjelm as pirates and counterfeiters after the murder of Erik Klipping. Marsk Stig, who owned Helgnæs in the 13th century, was part of the outlaws.

Hear about how he may have built Dragsmur as a defence. 800 years later, the impressive ramparts were erected as a bulwark against the Germans in 1849, when General Rye performed a strategic stroke of genius. Feel the wings of history!

The guided tour is approximately 2.5 kilometres long and takes about 1.5 hours. Remember to bring good footwear.
