Tour of Aarhus City Hall

On a tour of City Hall, you can learn all about its history and architecture, experience the building from the inside and see rooms that are not open to the public. Among other things, you will get a glimpse of the impressive council chamber, the beautiful wedding hall, see the newly restored town hall bells and enjoy a magnificent view of Aarhus from the top of the Town Hall Tower.

Guided tour (danish) incl. tower climb

Every Saturday there is a guided tour incl. tower climb from 9.30am to 11am. During school holidays there is also a guided tour at the same time (Tuesday 9.30am-11am).

Guided tour in English – including tower climb

Every Friday, there is a guided tour in English from 3.30 to 5 p.m.

Tower climb (without guided tour)

Every Friday, there is a tower climb from 3.30 to 4 p.m.

Practical information

  • Meeting point: Main entrance to Aarhus City Hall, Rådhuspladsen 2, 8000 Aarhus C.
  • Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours (including tower climb).
  • Accessibility: There are lifts in the building, but the tour itself involves climbing a few stairs.
  • Language: Tours are available in both Danish and English.
