Schousgade in Randers is named after merchant Rasmus Schifter Schou (1815-1882), who owned the land where the neighborhood is located. Løvstræde was previously called SchousToften.

The Schousgade neighborhood consists mainly of old artisan homes built between 1850 and 1900.
The neighborhood was renovated in the late 1970s and with the cobblestone streets and many green areas, it appears today as an attractive and atmospheric neighborhood.
