MTB Hjermind - Blue trail in Bjerringbro
In the middle of the hilly landscape between Viborg, Randers and Silkeborg, you'll find one of Central Jutland's most exciting MTB areas: Hjermind MTB trail. Located in the scenic Hjermind Forest near Bjerringbro, this approx. 12 km long trail invites you into a versatile terrain where adrenaline rush and nature experiences go hand in hand.

With an elevation gain of 210 metres, the trail offers both flow and technical challenges - perfect for the intermediate mountain biker looking for a versatile trail with speed and variety. The route winds through characteristic Jutlandic slope forest, where you cycle between impressive rhododendron bushes, dense black spruce and hilly climbs that really get your heart rate up.
Cycling with a historical perspective
South of the forest lie the ruins of a medieval castle at Kjællingehøl. As you cruise down towards the banks of the river Gudenå, you're cycling through centuries of history - in an area that was once an important part of Jutland's transport network. This adds an extra dimension to the ride, where you'll not only experience nature, but also history.
