A modern church in Møllevangen
Møllevang Church in Aarhus V was consecrated in 1959 and was designed by the architect C.F. Møller. The church was built as Aarhus expanded after the Second World War, creating a need for a new church in the area.
Architecture and the church interior
The church is built of brick and timber, with lines, light and materials creating a simple and serene interior. The round window and the cross-shaped openings help to give the church its modern appearance.
Art and community
In the chancel hangs a large oak crucifix crafted by Erik Heide in 1962, and the church interior also features a granite baptismal font dating from 1982. Today, Møllevang Church is a vibrant hub for worship services, music, lectures, community life and moments of quiet reflection.
