Hærvejsherberget Thorning
I Thorning, in the heart of Jutland, near Kirkepladsen, you will find Thorning Hostel, which is an independent part of Thorning Sognehus. The hostel was previously located at "Den gamle Skole" from 2012 to 2018.
Accommodation for hikers and cyclists
The hostel is located 3 km from the hiking route along Hærvejen, and the cycling route goes through Thorning. The hostel is run by the Association of Hærvejs Herberg in Thorning, FHHT, and the association's 11 volunteers take turns at the hostel when guests arrive in the late afternoon and depart in the morning.
There is a large common room with a well-equipped kitchen. The utility room has office space, first aid kit, repair tools, washing machine, dryer, drying cabinet, shoe dryer, and drying rack. Around the house, there are terraces with tables and benches. There are 3 shower rooms and 6 wash basins, 3 toilets, and 1 accessible toilet.
The hostel has two dormitories, each with 12 beds.
