Cycling Festival in the heart of Aarhus
On Friday 4 September 2026, Ingerslevs Boulevard will become a hub of speed, community and cycling when Aarhus Cyklebane organises a professional street race as part of Aarhus Festival Week. The race revives the tradition of Jørgen Leth’s Honour Race and the former festival race on Ingerslevs Boulevard.
A tribute to Jørgen Leth
The event has been created as a tribute to Jørgen Leth and his significance for Danish cycling and Aarhus Cyklebane. Here you can experience cycling up close as both the men’s and women’s elite riders race through the city.
Activities for children and recreational cyclists
In addition to the elite races, the day offers activities for all ages and abilities. Plans include a relay cycle race for recreational cyclists and a Children’s Tour for the youngest participants, so the whole family can be part of the cycling festival.
