Playground and Nature at Klyngehuset

Bring a packed lunch to Klyngehuset Kronjylland and combine your break with play and nature experiences. You’ll find a playground next to the building and an equipment bench where you can borrow gear for outdoor activities. There’s plenty of space here for a family outing or a rest stop on a bike ride.

Surrounding the building is a biodiversity park featuring meadow vegetation, wetlands, and rainwater ponds. Explore the trails and bridges, and discover how the vegetation and water create habitats for the area’s animals and plants.

Award-winning architecture close to nature

Klyngehuset was designed by C.F. Møller Architects and consists of three buildings under a shared, circular roof. The wooden structures and green roof connect the building to the landscape, while the terrace opens up to the surroundings. Under the roof, you can find shelter and take a break close to nature.

The project received the Randers Architecture Award in 2025. Among other things, the award highlighted the interplay between the wooden architecture, the village, and the fjord landscape.

Walk from Klyngehuset to Randers Fjord

The Klyngehus Route starts at the building and takes you across the flat areas to Randers Fjord and back again. The marked hiking trail is approximately 7 kilometers long, so you can combine your visit with a walk through the fjord landscape.

Practical information

• The Community Centre is open every day from 8 am to 10 pm.
• There is no charge for using the premises or borrowing equipment.
• There are toilets and showers in the building.
• There is an outdoor kitchen and a large terrace.
• Advance bookings are not possible.
• Plenty of opportunities to eat a packed lunch - both outdoors and indoors.
