Café and restaurant in Ebeltoft’s old town

Right in the heart of Ebeltoft’s historic town centre lies Café Kræmmerhuset, where you can take a break from sightseeing and enjoy food and drink in cosy surroundings. The café is situated on Adelgade, amongst old houses and cobbled streets, close to the town’s pedestrianised high street and harbour.

Café Kræmmerhuset began as an ice cream parlour in 1982 and has since developed into both a café and a restaurant. You can pop in here for lunch, dinner or a cup of coffee with something sweet to go with it.

Lunch, dinner and coffee

The menu offers a variety of lunch and dinner dishes. You can choose from burgers, salads, open sandwiches and other classic café dishes, amongst other things. In the evening, the café also serves grilled dishes, including beef fillet, salmon and ribeye.

If you fancy a lighter meal or a break whilst exploring Ebeltoft, you can also enjoy a sandwich, a coffee or a slice of home-baked cake.

Homemade waffles and ice cream

Café Kræmmerhuset is renowned for its homemade ice-cream waffles, which the café has been making using the same recipe since 1982. You can choose from 24 different flavours of ice cream and a selection of toppings.

Pop in for an ice-cream dessert, a waffle or coffee and cake, and take a well-deserved break from exploring Ebeltoft’s old town.

Sit inside or outside

The café has indoor seating and outdoor dining. You can also eat in the old, heated carriage shed, where dogs are allowed. This means you can bring your dog along when you take a break on your walk through the town.
