Scandic Bassin Seven is Scandic's first Danish signature hotel and will open in 2027 on Aarhus Ø with a spa, rooftop bar and event facilities in truly unique surroundings. The signature hotel is located in the 19-storey BIG-designed Irmahus building in the new, dynamic district of Aarhus Ø.
A new hotel experience in Aarhus
When Scandic opens the doors to the hotel Bassin Seven in 2027, it will not just be a new place to stay – it will be an experience destination in itself. The hotel is located in the heart of modern city life at Bassin 7 on Aarhus Ø and is housed in the striking 19-storey Irmahus building, designed by BIG.
Bassin Seven combines Nordic spa, gastronomy and design with strong local roots, offering something special for travellers, Aarhus residents and the business community alike. The building's spiral structure invites visitors to climb it via an external public walkway.
Three-storey spa with views of the bay
The hotel's 2,000 m² spa spans three floors and offers treatments and rituals inspired by Nordic nature. Here you can find peace and contemplation in the middle of the city – whether you are staying at the hotel or just passing by.
The hotel's rooftop bar offers spectacular panoramic views of Aarhus and the bay. Here you can enjoy cocktails in atmospheric surroundings, while the restaurants and café offer flavours and atmospheres inspired by the local area.

Bassin Seven also caters to business tourism, offering seven smaller meeting rooms and four larger event rooms with space for up to 336 people.
