Aarhus Chamber Music Festival
The Aarhus Chamber Music Festival, together with Musikhuset Aarhus and the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, welcomes audiences to four exciting days of chamber music.

Chamber music in a fresh setting
The Aarhus Chamber Music Festival invites you to four days of classical music at Musikhuset Aarhus. The festival creates close connections between performers and audiences, where classical masterpieces meet choral music, jazz, folk music and innovative concert formats. It welcomes both seasoned concertgoers and those discovering classical music for the very first time.
More than concerts
The festival aims to bring audiences closer to the music - both on stage and beyond the concert hall. Alongside the concerts, the programme includes Artist Talks, Quiz Concerts and communal dining, where audiences and musicians can meet in a relaxed setting. The festival also features international artists, award-winning musicians and talented young local performers.
The 2026 programme
From 24-27 September 2026, the Aarhus Chamber Music Festival fills Musikhuset Aarhus with concerts and musical experiences. This year's headline act is the Danish String Quartet, one of the world's leading chamber ensembles and recipient of the Léonie Sonning Music Prize 2025. Visitors can also experience harmonica virtuoso Mathias Heise, the women's choir SORA, cellist Jonathan Swensen, pianist Tanja Zapolski, and a range of talented young local musicians.
Several events are free of charge, young people under the age of 18 receive free admission to the festival concerts, and visitors can choose between a festival pass or tickets for individual concerts.
