The Women's Museum is one of the world's few women's history museums, and is situated in the city's old city hall (1857). In these historic surroundings the focus is firmly on women's lives.
The permanent exhibition focuses on the history of childhood throughout civilisation and on the two sexes' different experiences by following a number of girls and boys through their work and their duties, their learning and their play, etc., over the past 150 years. In addition, varying thematic special exhibitions are shown.
The Women's Museum is part of Cultural Paths in Denmark in the route "Dänish Way of Life". www.culturalpathsdenmark.com
