Sabro Church
Sabro Church was originally built around 1175 with a chancel and nave. Since then, the nave has been halved in length, and the current tower was built in the Middle Ages. Sabro Church was originally the parish church for Sabro Parish.
In the Middle Ages and until the dissolution of the cathedral chapter in the 17th century, the archdeacon supervised the church. On 9 January 1666, Frederik III transferred the patronage rights to Mogens Friis of Favrskov, and when the county of Frijsenborg was established in 1672, the church was incorporated into it.
