Ølsted Church
Ølsted Church is a small church in northern Aarhus consisting of a Romanesque chancel and nave from around 1200 and a Neo-Romanesque tower, which replaced an earlier stilt tower in 1891.
The church is a whitewashed, tiled church dating from the year 1000. It is beautifully situated on a hill and can be seen from far and wide, whether you are coming from the east, south, west or north. But it stands alone, with few buildings around it, and one might wonder, as many do, why a church was built here of all places.
