Open Air during Aarhus Festuge
Enjoy a number of the most popular Danish and international films at Open Air at Amfiscenen in the Botanical Gardens in Aarhus.
Den eneste ene
On Saturday 30 August, one of Danish cinema's biggest and most beloved box office hits, Den eneste ene, will be screened. So grab a special someone, snuggle up under the open sky in the Botanical Gardens and experience the intricacies of love at this grand romantic film screening.
The Big Lebowski
On Sunday 31 August, you can experience The Big Lebowski. There's simply no film company as hilariously funny and at the same time hilariously confused as the two-hour absurdist adventure around Los Angeles with three bowling buddies in the form of middle-aged hippie “The Dude” (Jeff Bridges), flammable Vietnam veteran Walter (John Goodman) and lovably simple-minded Donny (Steve Buscemi).
Barbie
On Monday 1 September, you'll be thrown into the world of dolls with the film Barbie. Join Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Kent on a super entertaining and existential adventure with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling singing along to the film's already immortal hits like “I'm Just Ken” and Billie Eilish's “What Was I Made For”.
Scream
On Tuesday 2 September you can scream along to the iconic horror film, Scream. Scream is undoubtedly up there with the best and most iconic horror films of recent times, maybe ever.
Mad Max: Fury Road
On Wednesday 3 September, you can look forward to George Miller's ultimate action classic, Mad Max: Fury Road. A non-stop sensory orgy of action with explosions, wild locations and wild guitar riffs, this six-time Oscar winner placed itself at the top of its own wayward Olympus of what an action film can be and look like.
Grease - Sing Along
On Thursday 4 September, the Open Air ends with a huge musical classic, Grease - Sing Along. All voices are welcome in the Botanical Gardens. So whether you're a hummer, soprano, crooner, workshop singer or shower singer, you're more than welcome to sing along to hits like “Summer Nights”, “You're The One That I Want”, “Grease Lightning” and the rest of the film's sunny soundtrack.
