Long-distance hiking trail E1 (Castellucio - Nordkap)

The long-distance hiking route
The E1 long-distance hiking route runs from Rønsdam to Grenaa and the E6 route runs from Kruså to Kastrup. E1 comes from Grövelsjön-Sälen in Sweden and continues to Castellucio in Italy, while E6 comes from Kilpisjärvi in Finland and continues to Alexandroupolis in Greece.
All E routes are part of Leading Quality Trails - Best of Europe, which helps to ensure hikers have good nature experiences and quality trails.
Guests visiting Silkeborg Søhøjlandet will be able to walk parts of the E1 route by following Hærvejen and then the Silkeborg-Aarhus route. You will then pass Molsruten and then sail towards Sweden, where the route continues through to Norway.
