On Friday 19 December at 4.30 p.m., the streets of Grenaa will be transformed into one big, bright Christmas parade. The Christmas parade is one of the most festive and colourful highlights of the year – an event that brings the whole town together and fills it with excitement.

A parade filled with lights, elves and Christmas cheer

If you haven't found the Christmas spirit yet, it will come naturally when the big Christmas parade moves through Grenaa's beautifully decorated streets. The parade brings together hundreds of participants – both children and adults – wearing elf hats, carrying torches and wearing imaginative Christmas decorations.

Look forward to experiencing:

  • Beautifully decorated cars and trucks
  • The iconic Christmas Lupo and Santa's sleigh
  • Shark Riders – the cool Santas on mopeds
  • Fun mascots and characters
  • Children and adults from the town's associations
  • Lots of Christmas lights, music and good energy

Route and time

The parade starts at Grisetorvet at 4.30 p.m. and follows the following route:

  • From Grisetorvet to Torvet
  • Down Lillegade and up Mogensgade
  • Past Torvet, down Nørregade
  • Past Power and along Rosensgade
  • Up Østergade, around the church
  • Ends at the large Christmas tree on Torvet

Along the way, you can enjoy the town's beautiful Christmas decorations with lights, fir trees and red Christmas hearts, while the Christmas spirit slowly spreads.
