Klassisk på Kanten – floating concerts in Aarhus harbour

Sit back on the steps by the harbour or hop aboard a boat – and let yourself be swept away by atmospheric sounds when Klassisk på Kanten brings free concerts to the waterfront at Navitas in the heart of Aarhus. Here, classical music and modern soundscapes come together in unique floating concerts under the open sky.

When late summer hits Aarhus, the harbour racecourse outside Navitas is transformed into a unique concert venue. Here, you and your loved ones can take a seat on the steps by the water and experience classical music and innovative crossover in a truly unique setting – with the stage located directly on the water.

Admission is free, and the programme ranges widely from classical tones to electronic elements and atmospheric vocals – all delivered by some of Denmark's most renowned musicians and ensembles.

The concerts can be enjoyed either from the steps at Navitas or from a boat in the harbour. The atmosphere is relaxed, and cold refreshments are available for purchase on site. You are invited to take a sensory break in the middle of the city – with a view of the water and the sound of live music in the background. Combine the concert experience with an evening in Aarhus Ø, a visit to Dokk1 or a walk along the harbour promenade. Here you can enjoy culture, architecture and harbour atmosphere all in one experience.
