The Kettle House

JYSK MUSIKTEATER is responsible for the daily operation of the Kettle House, which is the city's venue. With the raw framework, the boiler house provides unique opportunities for making events that will be remembered, whether it be conference, lecture, teaching or sales meetings.

The story behind Kedelhuset

Under what was once Denmark's tallest chimney, an international high school, Performers House, was run between 2007 and 2013. In 2014, the city council decided to continue running the school's black box stage as a venue. In autumn 2015, the city inaugurated “Kedelhuset” after a major refurbishment, where the facilities were upgraded to an ultra-modern venue with top-class stage and sound equipment. The vision is for the venue to make a name for itself regionally with a quality repertoire that attracts both local and foreign audiences.

Great musical experiences

Silkeborg's unique community environment leaves its mark on the venue. A wide range of bookers from associations such as Frokostjazzen, Musikrampen, Upcome and B'sharp provide concerts within a wide range of genres, and other associations arrange theatre, stand-up and concerts with popular names.
