As hikers, pilgrims, cyclists and riders, you are always welcome to stay overnight or take a break at the hostel - The hostel is open from the first day of the Easter holidays - to the last day of the autumn holidays. However, it can be fully booked as school classes and other groups can book the hostel in the off-season. So check the booking system. Or send an email.
The hostel is built in a former stable building at Hald Hovedgaard and offers 32 beds in a dormitory, a separate kitchen with plenty of space, 3 toilets and 3 shower rooms.
In June, July and August it is possible to buy coffee, noodles and a small selection of other food items if you don't bring your own. Payment can be made in cash or via MobilePay.
Hald Lake is a very nice and clean bathing lake
Here are ‘The 5 Halder’ - telling the history of the place through 800 years. There is an electronic exhibition in the barn and in the terrain down towards the lake you can experience traces in the landscape from the 4 former manor houses.
The Hærvejspas can be purchased here, it costs DKK 50 and contains 45 stamp pages and accompanying stories about Hærvejen.
