Horse riding trail along the Gudenåen river from Silkeborg to Randers

The bridle path takes you through beautiful natural areas around the Gudenåen and Gjern Ådal rivers. It stretches all the way from Silkeborg to Randers.

The railway trail is a paved route where the tracks have been removed. The trail connects Resenbro with Langå and runs past forests, streams, lakes, meadows and marshes, with a total length of approximately 34 km. The trail is accessible on foot, by bicycle or on horseback.

A route full of life

In the scenic Hornbæk Enge near Randers, the trail runs along a dike that takes you close to ospreys, sea eagles and more than 200 species of birds. Along the trail, there are clear traces of the railway, such as station buildings, railway bridges (Den Blå Bro in Randers, the old railway bridge in Langå, the Remstrup bridges in Silkeborg), water towers for the steam locomotives (Langå) and the high embankment, which was necessary in several places for the railway to cross river valleys and wetlands.

The bridle path runs along regional cycle route 29.
