When Aarhus Festival Week celebrates its 60th anniversary from 29 August to 7 September 2025, Den Gamle By will of course be there. Here you will encounter music, storytelling and small happenings that unfold the festive atmosphere in the middle of the historic streets and courtyards. You are close to everything – and at the same time to Aarhus' cultural heritage.

Join us for a pleasant boat trip on the river, take a ride on the classic air carousel and take part in a fun record attempt at finger knitting. The Festival Week in Den Gamle By offers activities and community for both children and adults.
