The programme runs over eight Tuesdays, with two lectures each evening – one in the afternoon and one in the evening. This year's speakers include Jeanette Varberg, Clement Kjersgaard, Vincent Hendricks and Sara Alfort. The topics cover a wide range: developments in world politics, philosophy and ethics, the Second World War, Danish identity and the big questions that shape our times.

Whether you are interested in history, politically engaged or just curious, you will find plenty to take home with you – both in terms of new knowledge and food for thought.

Conviviality and opportunity to meet

Between lectures, there is plenty of time to enjoy something to eat or drink in the cosy surroundings. Light dinners, snacks and drinks are served, allowing you to let your impressions settle before the next presentation begins. This creates an informal and inspiring atmosphere, where conversations often continue long after the last presentation has ended.

A special setting in Den Gamle By

Everything takes place in Den Gamle By's atmospheric Helsingør Theatre – a historic building that in itself provides the perfect setting for the event. Here you step into an atmosphere that brings the past and present into direct contact.

The entrance is via Theaterporten on Viborgvej 2. From here, you are led directly into the world of the theatre and on into conversations that extend far beyond the evening's programme.

Practical information

• Time: Every Tuesday from 23 September through November.
• Lectures at 4:30–6:00 p.m. and 7:30–9:00 p.m.
• Location: Helsingør Theater in Den Gamle By in Aarhus
• Entrance: At the theater gate
• Refreshments: Beverages, snacks, and light dinners will be available for purchase during the breaks
