Every Thursday in July, a new artist takes over the courtyard in Den Gamle By’s 70s quarter with concerts, DJs and a summery atmosphere during the light evening hours.

Every evening offers a new line-up – from boogie, funk and the golden sounds of disco’s heyday to rave and techno. Are you more into bodega bossa or improvised street jazz? No problem. Check out the full programme via the link.

Line-up in july

• 2 July: Solace, with rave energy and inspiration from British soundsystem culture
• 9 July: BAR’ FUNK with funk, disco and a vinyl vibe
• 16 July: DE4MAVER with improvised street jazz
• 23 July: HEJ LEIF with obscure vinyl and undiscovered musical gems
• 30 July: Trubaduren with danceable rhythms, bodega bossa and unpretentious charm

Practical information

• Den Gamle By Night takes place from 1 to 31 July 2026.
• The museum is open every day in July from 10 am to 9 pm.
• You can park in the area around Den Gamle By, including in Ceres Byen opposite the museum.
• There is paid parking on public roads in the area, and Den Gamle By is located in a yellow parking zone.
• Buses 3A, 14, 114 and 118 run from Aarhus Central Station to the stop on Viborgvej.
• The main entrance is at the junction of Silkeborgvej and Viborgvej.
