Enjoy Spring and Easter holiday in the Aarhus Region and enjoy culture, city life, lovely nature and beautiful blossoms.

The entire city of Aarhus, second city of Denmark, oozes with a cosy atmosphere, romance, and spring, which sets the perfect scene for a wonderful spring getaway with that special someone of yours.

Go explore together

Over the past few years, the museums in Aarhus have experienced very well-deserved success. Not least the Your rainbow panorama on top of the ARoS Art Museum has put Aarhus on the map, nationally as well as internationally.

New and old ...
You also have the chance to experience an authentic scene of old meets new when you go to Den Gamle By - The Old Town - a truly unique museum experience, where you can experience the Danish way of life through the ages. From before the 1900's through 1927 to the 1974 quarter, you can experience history hands on.

Not to mention Moesgaard Museum, where the past comes to life ― an absolute must during your visit in Aarhus. And then of course all the other museums, exhibitions, experiences and activities which make Aarhus well worth the trip.

Experience one of the world's longest wooden ships, Fregatten Jylland - the Frigate Jylland, in Ebeltoft and get up close to the rough sailor life of the past. You can also explore a labyrinth of mine tunnels, experience underground lakes, and hear exciting stories at the world's largest limestone quarry, Mønsted Limestone Mines.

If you want speed, fun and action

Easter the amusement parks open their doors for the season and it's now time to get back on the roller coasters, swings, and fun attractions. For example, visit Djurs Sommerland, a world-class amusement park where you can discover the most epic Dinosaurland. And at the cosy theme park Tivoli Friheden you will find roller coasters, rides, stalls and plenty of entertainment with theater and concerts.

Meet the animals

In the Aarhus Region, a huge animal world opens up, where you can meet animals from sharks and penguins at Kattegatcentret, the wild and fascinating wildlife of the rainforest in the tropical zoo Randers Regnskov, polar bears, wolves, and foxes at the Scandinavian Wildlife Park - and take a safari through four continents at Ree Park Safari.

Into the nature

As the growing daylight prolongs the day during spring, the beautiful scenery in the Aarhus Region invites you to come out and enjoy everything it has to offer.

The parks in Aarhus are filled with bright green colours, while daffodils and thousands of crocuses bring an air of life and optimism to the spring season. Are you and your special someone looking for tranquility and a space for just the two of you, miles of wonderful beaches and lovely forest paths are waiting for you. And are you up for a nice run in Aarhus, numerous forests and parks give you ample opportunity to get out your running shoes.

you can also get your hiking shoes on and climb to the top of Himmelbjerget or take a leisurely trip on the Silkeborg Lakes with Hjejlen, the world's oldest original coal-fired paddle steamer in operation.

And don't forget that it's also in the spring that you can see and enjoy the beautiful cherry trees when they burst into a fantastic pink veil. Here we recommend a trip to Marselisborg Memorial Park in Aarhus near Marselisborg Palace, the Kings Summer residence, where they bloom very beautifully with the Aarhus Bay as a backdrop.
