The city inside the ramparts
A stroll across the squares and through the city centre, including visits to The Viking Museum and the Cathedral. The tour provides a taste of Århus during the Viking Age and the city's early history.
Starts in front of the Cathedral at the Store Torv main square.
Tuesday 11.00 am - 1.00 pm
Architecture and art in Århus
Conducted tour of the City Hall designed by Arne Jacobsen, including a peep at the Hack Kampmann Business Archives, and a stroll down the covered street in the ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum.
Starts at the City Hall main entrance, Rådhuspladsen.
Wednesday 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm
The history of the Århus river
Walk along the Århus river. The history and importance of the river is vital when telling about Århus and its growth into a big city. The tour ends with a visit to the Århus Urban Museum.
Starts at Mindebrogade - in front of the café Globen Flakket.
Thursday 11.00 am - 1.00 pm
The ‘Latin Quarter’
On this tour you will hear stories from Århus during the 18th and 19th centuries.
Starts outside the Cathedral at the Store Torv main square.
Friday 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm
Århus in the Middle Ages
We start at the Church of Our Lady and the cloister garth and then go on to follow the traces of the Middle Ages through the city.
Starts in front of the Church of Our Lady, Klostertorv.
Tickets must be purchased in advance at the VisitAarhus 'Welcome to Århus' Centre, Banegårdspladsen 20.
Price: DKK 125,00 for adults, DKK 70,00 for children.
