Or how about going to see the wild animals in the Deer Park? Here you can see fallow and sika deer and wild boar running about and playing together. You may also feed the animals fresh fruit and bread. The Deer Park is located in Marselisborg Forrest south of Århus with free entrance from sunrise to sundown

See birds, frogs and toads! Walking round the Årslev Engsø lake you can see the frogs leaping and hear them croaking. You may catch toads in the lake, or climb one of the bird-watching towers and watch the many birds nesting in the reeds.
Tropical Houses at the Botanical Garden It is a pleasure to wander through the five small greenhouses, which al have different climates You´ll find fish, an eagle and a single parrot. The greenhouse grows orangetrees and coffeetrees, cinnamon and cardamombushes. Located next to The Old Town, a joint visit can easily be done.
Noah´s Ark An oasis on 20 acres for children and adults. The largest organic garden in Denmark boasts of a playground with bales of straw to jump in, sandpits, willow huts, tunnels and last but not least goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys and chickens waiting to be petted. The Organic Garden is located in Odder, 20 km south of Århus.
Bring your own food Take a break and enjoy your food at Ørnereden. This area is situated in the woods south of Århus, with a covered space with tables and benches where you and your family can sit down and enjoy your own food. And there is lots of space for playing and for ball games while Mum and Dad finish their meal.
