Feel like going out to experience the nightlife? If so, Aarhus really has a lot to offer. On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays things are really happening here, and you can feel the life and vibrancy everywhere. In addition to all the cafés – which are mostly in the ‘Latin Quarter’ and along the Vadestedet by the river – you will find everything from clubs and discos, Irish and British pubs, to German Tyrolean bars!

Many of the cafés are open until 2 am, and some of them transform into clubs during the evening
and do not close until the early morning.

If you like places with a warm and cosy atmosphere along with cheap beer, the sTUDENTERHUS åRHUS (the Students’ House), is the place to go. Here they have Friday Afternoon Bar every week, and in addition to this they often host live concerts, table soccer, stand-up comedy nights, and big parties.

If you are the kind of person who goes out to dance all night and party hard at the coolest clubs, you will love places such as: Gaz Station; Social Club; and not least Train, Aarhus’ largest venue and club with the Kupé lounge bar.

If you think that German beer and Tyrolean music are the coolest, you will definitely feel at home at Heidi’s Bier Bar or at the Die Kleine Bier Stube.

If, on the contrary, you are looking for a more laid-back – yet not less festive – atmosphere on your night out, the many cafés and pubs will surely appeal to you. Among these are the café Ris Ras Filliongongon; the Sct. Clemens Brewery, a microbrewery with a café; and the pubs Tir Na Noq, Waxies, and the Sherlock Holmes. As an extra bonus, the pubs often offer live music.

Aarhus has it all, and the best part is that everything is within easy walking-distance, so you can easily visit several places in one night – without having to spend all your money on taxies!
