The Danes are demanding organic food and high-quality fresh raw produce and this has had a major effect on the town’s caterers which in turn has resulted in many of Denmark’s finest chefs settling down in Århus.

The Koch brothers
Down at the harbour the Koch brothers opened a ‘multi-food house’ in the spring of 2004. Here the identical twins Jesper and Michael Koch practice their skills and spoil the visitors with both a gourmet restaurant and a brasserie.

Jesper and Michael Koch have both gained immense experience as chefs at some of the most distinguished restaurants both at home and abroad and have also collected many awards at various prestigious competitions along the way.

You can also visit Denmark’s Japanese Garden just a little outside Århus and enjoy dinner in the garden's six star gourmet restaurant.

Between colourful flowers and beautiful sculptures you will find Restaurant WH. The food at WH isn't Japanese, but the emphasis lies firmly on excellent raw materials and preparation of the highest order.
