In the treasure trove of stages in the city, the Aarhus Theatre and Concert Hall Aarhus are the bright shining crown jewels.

The lavishly adorned façade of the Aarhus Theatre has an enticing magic of its very own, and the spell and allure are even greater when you pass through the doors and enter the theatre with its glittering chandeliers and extravagantly gold-decorated ceilings and interiors. The theatre dates back to the year 1900, and to this day the building still evokes an ambience of celebration and joyful expectation from the entertainment presented on its five stages.
An atmosphere of celebration, albeit in quite a modern guise, also shimmers around Concert Hall Aarhus, situated like a sparkling palace of glass in a classic city-park. The Concert Hall is a cultural complex with a total of eight stages and auditoria with capacity for a huge number of people – the Main Auditorium alone takes an audience of 1,588 – and every evening theatre-goers flock to the bright and cheerful foyer looking forward to drama, opera, dance, rock, symphony concerts, musicals and what ever else may be on the programme.
