For children and young people it is also easy to find a spot in the limelight in Århus. They get mental nourishment in the form of both wonderful experiences and fresh insight and knowledge when the curtain rises on one of the many stages with theatrical groups which specialise in performances for and with children or which can perform theatre which brings together and enchants all ages.

Very often the children are not just spectators – they get involved in the play as active performers on the stage. This special grip on the youngest audience is underlined by the fact that in Århus there is both a theatre school for young people and one for children, thus both nurturing their young talents and greatly enhancing the city’s culture of drama and performance.
