In East Jutland there are, for example, the unique glacial landscapes – the hilly ranges of the ‘Mols Bjerge’, the beautiful Silkeborg lakes, large woodland areas, the ‘Himmelbjerget’, miles of sandy bathing beaches, and the Bay of Århus which is the perfect spot for watercasting, windsurfing, angling, jet boating, etc.
Århus – the ”capital” of East Jutland – was founded by the Vikings more than 1000 years ago. The city has approx. 300,000 inhabitants, including a student population of nearly 40,000. Århus is a thriving modern city where technology, knowledge, art, culture, history, and a vibrant city-life all co-exist.
The ARoS art museum is a spectacular image-and-events centre presenting art of the highest calibre. It also boasts exceptional conference facilities which provide unique opportunities for combining business-related events with magnificent art experiences. If ”the good old days” are more to your liking you can add extra spice to your conference event by locating it in a reconstructed historical house in the 'Den Gamle By' (The Old Town), for example in the Helsingør Theatre, the Hobro Warehouse, or the Mintmaster's Mansion. If your preference is for a location in the countryside you can find perfect peace and quiet at, for example, the Fuglsøcentret conference centre at the foot of the beautiful rolling hills of ‘Mols Bjerge’.
The venues, things to do and see, and events of an unconventional nature are all inspiring and challenging in Århus. In addition to stimulating all senses, a convention creates loyalty, team spirit, satisfaction and, not least, new energy.
There are opportunities galore: Diving with sharks; sightseeing from the back seat of a Harley Davidson; a company golf tournament; exploring the art museum; a banquet in a castle or an old mansion; conferencing in a turbine hall, an old equestrian hall, or a historical theatre – the only limits are set by your imagination.
